Some Words from the Past

I found this poem on Pinterest and believe it was first published in 1932.  Many of its sentiments ring true with me,  I do hope my descendants are interested in keeping my quilts.

My new blog

I'm thrilled to announce I have a new blog, called Melody Matilda,
you can find it HERE

I felt The House on the Side of the Hill had become a bit tired and I'd lost my blogging mojo.  I wanted something cleaner, simpler, easier to navigate...something fresh and new.

Most places on line I'm known as Melody Matilda, (its even my email address) so I thought I'd change the name and start afresh.  melodymatilda is so much quicker to type into Google and it will take you to me so much faster.  I value each and every one of you my lovely readers so I hope you will pop over to my new blog and take a look.  Maybe even every week day...and yes there will be a LINK to a Fabulous Free Project every post.

The most wonderful day

On Saturday I attended Gail Pan's stitchery day with my dear friend Christine from MacDonald's Patch.  The guest designer was brilliant Bonnie Sullivan from All ThroughThe Night.

It was the most wonderful day.  Fun, friends, food and creativity...and lots of laughing.  You couldn't ask for more.

Here are the days projects.
From Bonnie...

and Gail

I love them all.  Thank you so much to Gail, Bonnie and their team of helpers for putting together a perfect day.
My gorgeous friend Sharon from Lillabelle Lane shares a fabulous tutorial to make this charming Apple Farm Tin.  I am totally in love with it.
If you would like to make one too please pop over and visit Sharon.  It is on her 25th of March 2017 post.
Hope your day is full of fun
Love
